You and Your Corset
Tips & Tricks to help you care for your corset, get into your corset, and more! Contents

It is much easier to put on your corset if you have somebody to assist you. Follow these steps to successfully put on your corset, whether alone, or assisted.
There are three ways to lace your corset. One & Two are the easiest if you plan to put on your corset by yourself. Three is the classic way to lace a corset.
When you first get your corset, you will need to break it in and mould it to your particular body. This will require you to wear your corset frequently for short periods of time. We recommend wearing your corset for the first time for a maximum of 1-2 hours. After wearing the corset for the first half hour, retighten the laces and continue wearing it for the remainder of the first wearing. This allows for the corset fabrics to stretch evenly and for the overall shape to mould to your body. This will prolong the life of the corset, make it more comfortable, and ensure that the fabric, hooks and eyelets do not get damaged. Failure to break in your corset can cause damage to the corset.
Never machine wash your corset. Hand wash in cold water with a very mild detergent. Hang dry your corset by placing on a hanger inside out, with the lacing over the hanger. Never tumble dry your corset, or hang dry outside as it may result in discoloration from the sun. Store your corset by hanging over a hanger with the lacing over the hanger. Folding or rolling your corset may cause the boning to warp out of shape. Never store your corset until completely dry. Use a very small amount of fabric refresher to freshen your corset between washing.
Once the tags have been removed from your corset, it will no longer be accepted for exchange. Follow these steps for trying on your corset prior to removing any tags.
If the gap on your corset is too big, you will require a larger size. If the gap on your corset is too small, you will require a smaller size. Gap size depends on your personal preference, there is no right or wrong size. Some women prefer to have no gap, while others prefer to have a larger gap. However, we do recommend between two and six inches to give you room to adjust. If you do need to exchange the corset, please ensure you gently re-lace the corset before returning it.
Corset Exchange/Return Policies
If your corset is damaged due to over tightening during try on, your corset will not be accepted for refund or replacement. Over tightening your corset may result in tearing along the boning or damage to the eyelets, busk, or hook & eye closure. Each corset is inspected before shipment to ensure it is free from any manufacturer defects. Ensure your corset is in original, unworn condition, tags attached. If you removed the tags prior to trying on your corset, it will not be accepted for return under any circumstances. If you are purchasing the corset as a gift, you may ‘blackout’ the price on the tag; however, you may not remove the tag, or interfere with the product number or size in any way.
